Hollywood Good Guy Chris Pratt has displayed a talent for playing the hero on the big screen.

But many don’t realize that the ease with which he portrays a hero comes not from his acting ability, but from his real life experiences as a hero.

Pratt, fresh from his box office record-breaking role in Guardians of the Galaxy, dressed up as his character Star Lord and hit up the Children’s Hospital Las Angeles for a visit.

He aired a screening of his new film to the kids, and even made the rounds through the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit, the Children’s Centre for Cancer and Blood Diseases, and the Pediatric ICU to see the kids who were too sick to attend the show.

Chris shared a very special moment with a young boy named Dylan Prunty, who was such a huge fan of The Lego Movie that he immediately recognized his favorite star’s voice.

Chris and Dylan spent some quality time together going over lines from the film together, all of which young Prunty had committed to memory.

The hospital said in a tweet, “Star Lord (@prattprattpratt) cheered up our patients by sharing #GuardiansOfTheGalaxy! Thanks for making them smile!”

Good on you Chris!
