It is very easy, and very tempting, to think that all celebrities are vain, narcissistic people who care only about their own image. All too often, the news will run a story that shows that to be the case.
However, every once in a while a celebrity will do something to show they care about the people behind them in a big way. Take Justin Timberlake for example.
Julian Delan is an 8-year-old boy with a rare form of autism. His parents, knowing their son is a big JT fan, took him to see the performer during his 20/20 Experience tour.
Julian and crew spent the first part of the concert trying to get the star’s attention, but to no avail.
However, with the help of some new friends made during the performance, Julian finally got the attention of the “Mirrors” artist.
After a brief conversation over the roar of the crowd, Justin decided to make the little boy’s night one to remember, as he enlisted the 25,000 person audience to join him in a rendition of “Happy Birthday”.
Marika Delan, Julian’s mother, remembers the joy-filled moment on her blog. “Everyone was embracing our boy in the way I was so afraid they wouldn’t,” she blogged.
“Here we stood while thousands of people lifted him in song to celebrate the day he came into the world 8 years ago.”
